Heartsaver CPR

Course Description
 

The HEARTSAVER CPR course is designed to provide lay rescuers the fundamental skills and confidence to perform CPR on adult, children, or infants. This course will teach participants how to recognize and alleviate airway obstructions, the proper use of an AED, and the signs, symptoms, and corrective action for a stroke or heart attack.

The HEARTSAVER ® First Aid CPR AED course provides first responders with training in basic first aid and CPR AED procedures — including the first aid skills recommended by OSHA — in a format that can be delivered in a single day.

 

The course covers:

  • First Aid Basics

  • Medical Emergencies

  • Injury Emergencies

  • Environmental Emergencies

  • Adult CPR AED

  • Adult Choking

 

Options include:

  • Child CPR AED

  • Infant CPR

  • Child and Infant Choking

 

 

Course Length:

Initial Course Approximately 8 hours

Renewal Course Approximately 4 hours

 

Intended Audience:

The HEARTSAVER ® First Aid CPR AED course is intended for all individuals who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, including:

  • security and airline personnel

  • camp counselors

  • police and firefighters

  • teachers and day-care workers

  • aerobics teachers/physical-fitness trainers

  • other individuals who want or need first-aid training.

 

 

This course is strongly recommended for all of the general public. This course will not fill the requirements for health care providers.

Renewal Certification - $99
 

Hybrid Option - complete the AHA online course, print the certification, and bring it with you to the skill sign-off. The skill sign-off must be done in person with a certified instructor.

Cost of Skill Sign-off - $55
